Program Description
The Commercial Driver’s License-Class B program is your first step toward a professional career driving commercial vehicles. Students will learn pre-trip inspection, troubleshooting, handling cargo, safe driving protocols, and vehicle systems among the many topics covered. The course consists of a mixture of classroom and hands-on instruction covering all the necessary material you will need to pass your permit test, road test, and satisfy the FMCSA's Entry-Level Driver Training requirement.
You will be prepared to seek employment driving straight trucks, dump trucks, snowplows, utility trucks and waste and recycling collection vehicles, etc. Upon earning your CDL you may choose to pursue additional endorsements for tankers, buses and more. We train you to drive on a 10 speed standard transmission so you will not have an automatic restriction on your CDL.
This class is designed to be convenient for working adults. There is significant demand for licensed commercial drivers in this region and your earnings potential is high.
