About Me:
I serve as the Special Needs Coordinator at Southwest Tech, where I ensure that student documentation (Individualized Education Plans - IEPs and 504 accommodations) are shared with the teachers at SWTech, and I assist the teachers in differentiating and making accommodations for students related to the needs of their documentation. I earned my Bachelor of English degree from St Lawrence University, and my Master of the Science of Education from Simmons University. I am a certified English and Special Education teacher in addition to having a license as a Special Needs Coordinator. I have dedicated my career to helping all students to have access to a free and appropriate public education.
At Southwest Tech, I am committed to communicating with case managers from all of our sending schools to provide real-time support to our shared students. Additionally, in my role, I act as a resource for parents, addressing concerns, and ensuring students receive the necessary support.
