Medical Professions
This course is the perfect opportunity for you to explore the world of health care while preparing for your post-secondary education and/or future career! Medical Professions I focuses on the foundational knowledge & skills needed to pursue a health-related career, such as: the history of health care, health care systems, medical ethics, medical legal issues, vital signs, airway management, venipuncture, and infection control. Medical Professions II includes a full-year anatomy/physiology course, as well as an in-depth medical terminology course. Students can also earn certifications in CPR and First Aid. Qualified students have the opportunity to be dual-enrolled in college-level medical terminology and human biology courses and can earn 6 college credits while still in high school. During both years of the program students will explore a wide variety of health careers as they job shadow medical professionals.

SOUTHWEST TECH - COURSE CATALOG
Adults are welcome to apply for daytime technical programs. A Vermont resident adult without a high school diploma is a secondary student and is eligible for tuition to be paid by their school district. Adults with high school diplomas will be charged a tuition. Financial aid may be available. Contact the Adult Education Office at 447-3596.
