Medical Professions
Taking the Medical Professions Program is the perfect opportunity to explore the world of healthcare while preparing for post-secondary education and/or future careers. Medical Professions 1 focuses on foundational knowledge and skills such as the history of healthcare, healthcare systems, medical ethics, medical legal issues, vital signs, airway management, venipuncture, and infection control. Medical Professions 2 includes a full-year anatomy and physiology course as well as an in-depth medical terminology course. Students also have the opportunity to explore various health careers through job shadowing experiences within the local community.
